Pause

Well, our digital camera is kaput so I am taking a break from pictures for now. Maybe I will get a new camera for Mother's Day:) Still enjoying the outdoor walks. Caroline is getting more and more aware of the world everyday. She leans up when she wants to be held, sometimes holds her bottles, notices immediately when I have placed something new on the exersaucer and grabs at everything, including my hair. So fun-everyday feels like Christmas!

Spring is gorgeous here

The city is abloom and it is gorgeous. This week and next week we are celebrating the Dogwood Festival. Hopefully I can take baby to the parade next Saturday.

We got to see a show last night-we live close to a high school that had a fireworks show so we got to watch a fabulous show from our balcony. Who knew our Friday nights would be so exciting?! ha ha

This is at a local park. It is a museum for children and the bottom of the pirate ship was part of the arc in the movie 'Evan Almighty'.

4 Months

We had our dr. appt this past Friday. She was so serious-stared into the doctor's eyes (when not grabbing his tie). He tried to get a laugh unsuccessfully until the very last minute, just before he left the room when she finally caved in. She is a fairly big girl as predicted since she is in the 75% for all measurements. Unfortunately we had to get shots so we had some fever to overcome but she was a champ. Definitely a serious girl though. Today we took part in a study for the University's child study center. They made a video of her reactions as she looked at new images vs. repeated images. A nice change from the normal routine...but it is hard to top the exersaucer.

Bedtime routine

We love our bedtime routine. She is definitely on a schedule-at 10:00 she is asleep no matter what. There is something so sweet about how she looks up at me while she drifts off:)

Spring Break

I feel like we just got back from Spring Break. We were in Mobile for a few days where it was 70 degrees. When we got back it was 43 degrees-not that I mind, but it was a nice break. Caroline got to go outside wearing short sleeves for the first time.



We made the flights ok. Actually, the baby part wasn't bad at all since she slept or drank her bottle during all our flights. Our problem was that the airline broke our stroller so we had to RUN through ATL airport with baby in a carrier, a stroller, a car seat base and a bag. And then to top it off they lost one of my bags so we had some challenges. But the important thing is that we made it and I will be prepared to fly with baby solo in May or June.



Caroline is growing so much. She is pushing her bottle out and in with her hands now, leans up to almost sitting position when she wants something, and is very close to rolling over. And she does not like for us to be out of her sight for a second. Her weight is in the 75% and height 70% so she is a big girl. I am savoring everyday as much as I can.


We go walking with our carrier...especially now that the stroller is out of use for a week or so. She definitely gets attention when we are out. We've had a few people even stop their car to talk to her.


The exersaucer comes out this weekend...I'm afraid she is less impressed with the activity mat now.
