AU and GT Weekend

We headed to Atlanta for the GT game last weekend, but stopped in Auburn for lunch on the way. Hopefully Caroline will get used to the fact that she supports 2 schools:)
On Friday we cheered for Auburn.
On Saturday we cheered for Georgia Tech.

Daddy and daughter hanging out in the hotel.

We had some great meals in ATL. The weather on Sunday was just perfect. I got to do some shopping, yet I still haven't started Christmas shopping.

Every morning and every night, we must get dressed up in our rain boots and rain coat. So funny to see her stomping around saying, "Boots! Boots!"

First Haircut

War Eagle!

We are still recovering from our colds. I am still not 100% so I feel like I am dragging through the days. Still adjusting to Mobile.....I got scolded at the grocery store for putting my purse in the cart (even with me standing right beside it) because "people around here will attack you." To top it off, I came home and just happened upon an article where the FBI ranked Mobile as one of the highest crime cities in the nation. So, apparently even the 'subarbs' of Mobile are no safer than Atlanta. I was getting that feeling just by watching the news but now I can't ignore it. Guess I will go back to my big city mindset for safety. In general, I keep learning that this AL city is really, really different from Florence, Huntsville, Birmingham and Auburn.

Caroline got her first haircut this week and loved it. She cried and cried when we left. They had chairs that were cars and televisions on Noggin at each station...awesome!

Like father, like daughter.

Florence bear gets to read too.

Such a girl-got her purse and bracelet when it was time to go.

Close-ups....ready to give me a big kiss!

She has been going in her closet in the mornings and touching all the clothes picking out what to wear saying, "Dis" for each one. She likes to yell, "ME" when I ask her who Mommy's baby is. And she is definitely changing her animal friends' diapers. Wipes and all. So funny!

Plans-Subject to Change

The last 2 weeks have been a blur. We've had some runny noses and sore throats....and now coughs. We've missed Mother's Day Out, 2 playgroups, a book group meeting, and more. I did force myself to 2 mandatory Junior League meetings and the symphony last night so I am keeping some sanity! I still haven't done any den decorating so it is a sparse place to be cooped up. Thank goodness for the playroom and the dining room that is our 'daycare' room currently:) We've been working on letters A, B, C and colors. She likes to point out 'Boo' (blue). She has lots of new words-my favorite is 'docks' for socks.

Caroline likes to sit in the big chairs.

She likes to put Minnie Mouse in her chair and pretend to feed her. She gets me to put the bib on and then she wipes Minnie's mouth and hands afterwards.

At least we have the bar stools to sit in AND for entertainment.

First Oreo. I know, probably not a good thing to introduce. She ate every morsel.

Our froggy humidifier has been working overtime!

Climbing onto her chair and ottoman is fun. Look how big she is!
