Getting Close Now

Thankfully, we've been busy having fun the past 2 or 3 weeks. Only one more weekend in C'ville left for me and Caroline. I can't believe it. I have already said my goodbyes to my friends from MOPS/church and Junior League. I seriously met some awesome women during my time here. I am going to my favorite pizza-by-the-slice place every chance I get now. Yes, I went today! My list of things to do before I leave is getting short now. It's definitely bittersweet because I am sad yet at the same time I am really getting excited about the future too.

Tina and kids have been here the last few days and we've had a blast. It was a win-win situation-the kids really helped me clean out the cupboard and freezer! I got addicted to the wii again, as expected. Good times. They left this morning as Caroline waved saying, "Bye bye bye bye."

It's really hard to get 3 to look in the same direction.

We had a great time at the park. Caroline was fearless and would have run into the woods if I hadn't stayed on her. (she protested this, of course)

Parker and Claire were great cousins. Parker sat and talked to Caroline every morning while she ate breakfast, twirled her around, let her play with the wii remote and even shared his food.

Claire was awesome. She read SO SO many books for Caroline with an abundance of patience. She also pushed Caroline around the house on her little car. (this requires hands and knees positioning so it doesn't happen often)

The older kids even suffered through some Sesame Street at Caroline's request.

Now me and Caroline are recovering with a blanket and pillow in the recliner:)

Last Plane Ride For Awhile

We did it-we closed on the house and got back in one piece. Actually, the flying wasn't too bad but it is a challenge (toddlers like to toddle!) so we are glad to be done with the major travel for awhile. We had a great experience and even squeezed in some alone time and beach time with Jennifer and Jason and the twins before leaving Mobile. I am getting excited at all the new experiences coming our way-new places to shop, eat, and play.
Now we are busy setting up accounts, changing addresses (I get about 100 magazines and catalogs so it's a job), trying to decide what to pack and what to let the movers pack. I have been to Goodwill at least 9 times now with piles of stuff.
We had fun with this sign which says, "Beauty Pageant-No Talent Required."

We are so glad we got to spend some time with our sweet nephews! They are so cute and are such a fun age.
We found Caroline a car and she was happy. We even let her drive it in her pjs.

Mother's Day celebration was fun-we ate at my favorite restaurant and I got some sweet cards and a new, much needed pillow. Sleep for Mommy is good!

We had fun goofing around at the restaurant.

Active

We've been busy. I have been doing some of the pre-move items like organizing drawer items into plastic bags, labeling items for storage, taking loads to Goodwill, etc. while Caroline has been busy putting her shoes on (finally got it), taking her clothes off, turning circles, dancing, running, jumping (that's a new one), and pretending to be a duck. It's really fun to see her personality coming out. This past weekend, we found out that she does NOT like to see Mommy and Daddy holding hands. She screamed at the sight of it and then burst into tears. It took us awhile to finally figure it out but that was definitely the problem! More opinions to come:)

Here we are dancing and running with the stroller:
