Summertime fun

We've been so busy that I have taken a computer sabbitical for the last couple of weeks. Between a trip to Mobile and visitors, we've seen most of our family and it has been great. We survived Caroline's 3rd time to travel by plane so now I am a professional but I don't think I will be doing it again for awhile. Caroline has been having a blast getting so much social interaction. I don't think she enjoys her toys the same now that she has been exposed to constant stimulation for days on end. In Mobile, she cried when Grammy's dogs left the room. Later at home she cried whenever Parker or Claire left the room! I am going to have to learn new tricks I guess:) We've done so much.....I have to share some pictures.
In Mobile, we went to see Grandaddy, Granny Cole and Shirley.
We went with Grammy to Aunt Jennifer's baby shower for twins Jacob and Joshua. Caroline played on the floor and did so well, thank goodness!
Caroline ate lots of fruit and veggies at Grammy's house.
We got some visitors when we got home-Nana, Aunt Tina, Parker and Claire.
We ate at The Nook restaurant for lunch at the downtown mall. (One of us lunched on toes)
We went to Richmond for a day of fun. We went to the Carytown district for lunch and found a place called the Galaxy Diner which is modeled after the Jetsons. I got my picture by the women's restroom with Judy Jetson pictured. (I have been called Judy Jetson half of my life so why not)
We visited Ash-Lawn Highland, home of James Monroe. Gorgeous landscape...similar to Monticello. Caroline took a nice nap on my shoulder.
We went to the pool, lake and game room at my apartment.

We had some great meals....and of course we went to Cracker Barrell for vegetables!!!
So, I am still recovering. Still not ready to tackle emails.................

Eventful Day

Happy 4th of July! We had quite a day. It all started with President Bush's helicopters flying right over our apartment. He was speaking at Monticello (1 mile away) and landed the choppers at the high school right beside our apartments. It was so loud and very cool. I got some good pictures of him leaving.
Tonight we went out to eat and to Babies R Us and Target before watching the city's fireworks show. It was breezy and perfect weather. It was a great day but now I am tired!
