Searching for a House

We just got back from quite a trip. First, Tina and Brian and kids came to visit for a few days which was some very needed out-of-the-routine time. We went to Williamsburg one day and just hung out here the other days. I got addicted to the Wii again (specifically the figure skating game) and am still missing Goody. Parker and Claire loved playing with Caroline and she loved them. She would hug them every chance she got. Tina and Brian even babysat while Jonathan and I went out on a date for our (3rd) anniversary!

The next day we went to Baltimore. We stayed on the inner harbour and somehow were there to witness a dead body that had washed up to the shore. Yes, I am serious. Then we spent the night in Fredricksburg before flying out of Richmond for Mobile.

Caroline got her picture made with the Easter Bunny in Mobile!

She loves Grammy's digital picture frame.

While in Mobile, I developed a 24 hour virus but was well just in time for the househunting portion of our trip. We got to see many houses but narrowed it down to these three:

Hopefully we'll find out the finalist soon...not getting much sleep. Meanwhile, Caroline's latest favorite thing is to hide something and shrug, "I don't know" before revealing the object and clapping.

March Madness

Yes, that is what her hair does after nap sometimes! We've had a great first half of March, with several snows so far. Caroline is really so much fun these days. She is very social when we are out and loves going places. She squeals when we drive up to church (there is a large steeple that she recognizes). She is now running around the house tagging us and surprising us with occasional hit and run kisses. Her book reading (babbling) is quite loud and amusing, as are her pretend phone conversations. She is getting on and off her rocking lamb alone and reaching up and into things. At her doctor visit last week we confirmed that she is still growing like a weed at 32 1/8 inches and 24.5 lbs. Her best trick right now is for us to ask her if she is excited and she opens her mouth wide.

This is going to be a hectic second half of the month but I can't wait.

More mischief.

She loves to dance when her bus plays music.

I never get tired of seeing her with her 'purse'.

Books are esteemed above all other things for sure.

Snowed In

It snowed Saturday night and again Sunday night so we have seen some beautiful flakes!
Last night we took a short walk for fun.

This morning the snow had reached about 8 inches. Gorgeous.

Meanwhile we are chilling.....

and playing with all the props we can find.

Spoon-although, she ended up eating most of her yogurt with her hands!

Daddy's shoes-always a favorite to carry around.

The Man Chair-climbing out is fun these days.

Closet door-hours of enjoyment.

The popper is usually popping.

We've even pulled out an inflatible pool to throw balls into!

Hairbrush is a favorite too.

Babydoll is still making it-not beat up yet.
