So Many New Things!

I can't keep up with all the new things Caroline is learning! Today she is doing all the hand motions correctly to her favorite songs (Wheels on the Bus, Head Shoulders Knees and Toes, etc). She is just filled with joy most of the time. She dances, stomping her feet in place when she hears music. If she really likes the song, she'll turn in circles over and over again.
Here are some other things she has been up to-

Loving and feeding her stuffed friends.

Playing ball.

Trying desperately to get shoes on without any help.

Learning that the paci has to go if it is time to eat.

Walking on tip-toes sometimes.

Discovering and chasing her shadow.

I have to say, this is a pretty fun phase!

Happy Easter

We had a wonderful time celebrating Easter with Grammy who came for a few days. It was a little cold and rainy but we made the best of it.

Grammy gave Caroline a bunny that sings, "Here Comes Peter Cottontail".

We went to Greenleaf Park one day. Caroline used to enjoy the swings but she was a little more cautious this time-we laughed about how straight her legs stayed since she was a bit tense. She finally warmed up some.

Caroline thought about going back in Grammy's suitcase.

We tried on our new tutu for Grammy...and ended up keeping it on for awhile!

Here is Caroline checking out the books and toys that the Easter Bunny brought for her.

After church, Caroline played for awhile in her Easter dress. Good thing, since I forgot to get family pictures!!!

These days Caroline enjoys:
-leading us around by the hand

-turning the tv off and on

-have I mentioned reading books? All the time.

What's Going On?-Video

Caroline loves to jabber about everything...thought this was a good example. I surprised her by switching her music box to a setting where the monkey and frog move back and forth.

This week she showed me that she knows how to turn the tv on and off, with applause everytime. Our new favorite game is put teddy bear down for a nap in various places.

Timing Is Everything

After some dramatic days, our offer was accepted for the house we wanted the most. Hooray! We don't close until the first week in May but hopefully all potential issues have been met now that the inspection is over. What can I say-we love it. It has the most important things-good neighborhood, close to Jonathan's hospitals and office, close to our mother's day out church, and 4 bed/4 bath. But what took us over the edge are extras we never even considered getting-like the bonus rooms, built-in generator, tv and appliances, swingset or intercom system. As they say, timing is everything. So true...we had not seen it online until a couple of days before we arrived. And believe me, we were looking every day for months!

I cannot contain my excitement. I have lived in an apartment ever since entering college. I dismissed the idea of buying a house for years with the hopes that I would not have to go it alone and then we got married and knew we were going to move so it feels like a long time coming. My experiences have been 99% wonderful, so I don't mean to complain but it is a while to go without a garage for such a suburban girl like me. To do the math, roughly 15 YEARS. (10 different apartments in 5 cities-not counting corporate apartments in other cities)

Here are some pics:

Caroline has no idea that her running space is about to enlarge:)
