After some dramatic days, our offer was accepted for the house we wanted the most. Hooray! We don't close until the first week in May but hopefully all potential issues have been met now that the inspection is over. What can I say-we love it. It has the most important things-good neighborhood, close to Jonathan's hospitals and office, close to our mother's day out church, and 4 bed/4 bath. But what took us over the edge are extras we never even considered getting-like the bonus rooms, built-in generator, tv and appliances, swingset or intercom system. As they say, timing is everything. So true...we had not seen it online until a couple of days before we arrived. And believe me, we were looking every day for months!
I cannot contain my excitement. I have lived in an apartment ever since entering college. I dismissed the idea of buying a house for years with the hopes that I would not have to go it alone and then we got married and knew we were going to move so it feels like a long time coming. My experiences have been 99% wonderful, so I don't mean to complain but it is a while to go without a garage for such a suburban girl like me. To do the math, roughly 15 YEARS. (10 different apartments in 5 cities-not counting corporate apartments in other cities)
Here are some pics:
