New Year....New Beginnings

I have to share Caroline's favorite tv watching position-hands clasped behind her back. She moves her hands to point to things and then gets back in position. Seems tiring but I have tried to encourage her to keep moving around and playing while the tv is on so it is better than sitting down I guess.

Caroline's hair is getting longer-we finally could do some 'real' pigtails:) She loves her Disney memories and mentions something every day. In addition, she requests her 'mickey mouse plate' and her 'princess cup'. Funny how she went from eating whatever to shaking her head to asking for certain food to asking for certian foods in certain dishes!!

We've had some windy days so I usually put her stroller cover down to cut out the wind. She likes it as long as I give her a 'mamy' (magazine). Quite funny to see only her legs sticking out and hearing her 'read'. I opened the cover to take a peek and snapped a pic of her turning her pages.

We've finally done some items on our house list! So glad! We got 4 rooms painted, including the nursery and master bedroom. I am loving the master bedroom which used to be a color of gray that looked lavender. Now it is a warm color called Macadamia and I am such a happier person. Still working on curtains for master bedroom and nursery...and then we can finally start on the den!

And another new beginning-a new car. Jonathan talked me into a mini-van and so far it has been very handy...the auto doors are great and I don't even have 2 yet!

I think Caroline likes it:) She says 'BIG car' everytime we get in.

Happiest Place on Earth

We just got back from Disney World and yes, we did find it to still be the happiest place on Earth. Caroline had a wonderful time and we loved it.

We started out by showing her some characters.

Once we got there, we took the Magical Express bus. We were so excited!

Our first of many monorail or 'choo choo' rides.

First thing we did was meet Donald Duck in Mexico.

We had dinner in Mexico by the volcano.

Epcot fireworks were worth the cold weather.

We tried rollers for our princess...didn't exactly work but we tried.

View from our balcony of Magic Kingdom. We stayed at the new Bay Lake Resort by the Contemporary and LOVED it.

Playing on the bed.

We had dinner with Cinderella. The step-sisters were hilarious. They kept talking about the 'rodent' on Caroline's shirt.

We rode the carousel many times.

Caroline loved talking on her princess phone.

Mom and I returned to the room to find that Caroline wasn't the only one taking naps at 1:00.

We got up early in the mornings...can you tell?!

Daddy and his girl.

Parade was great. I could barely get Caroline out of the street because she wanted to dance for everyone.

Riding on Daddy's shoulders.

Nana and Caroline enjoyed their time together.

Playhouse Disney at Hollywood Studios was a highlight. We saw all the clubhouse characters plus Handy Manny and Little Einsteins.

We met Mickey too.

Our bus ride....we rode planes, trains, monorails all in one trip.

Getting ready to go to the Muppets 3-D show.

Waiting for the elevator at our resort.

We met so many characters at Chef Mickey. Pluto, Goofy, Donald, Mickey.....

but Minnie stole our hearts! Caroline kissed her nose.

What a great trip!

Now we are back home and sleeping in a big girl bed too!

Holiday Fun

Boy, we had a great Christmas. The days leading to Christmas were filled with baking, eating, cleaning and fun. Caroline's 'school' is out until January so we are taking it easy.
We ate our first ice cream cone without any help.

We played in our car.
We stayed warm in our coat.

Christmas Eve was nice. Daddy read alot of books to Caroline...as usual.

Mommy and Caroline getting ready to go to church. (where Caroline threw a toy car up 3 church pews!)

Before we left home, Caroline opened her gift from us....a beautiful doll she named Kelly.

I have to say, it made me cry it was so sweet:)
She kissed her right away and fed her the bottle.

After church we opened gifts with Jonathan's family. Caroline loved their beautiful tree.

Joshua and Jacob were so cute!

Christmas Day began like this-Santa's spread.

The excitement was magical.

My family arrived on the 26th for a few days of fun. Unfortunately I didn't take enough pics!!
We had some grilled steaks before opening gifts. Yum!

Caroline had a blast. She didn't even know if I was there or not for the 3 days they were here because she was too busy playing hard with her cousins. Bellingrath Garden's light display was a fun thing to show off too. While we were arriving and getting out of the car Claire proclaimed that she was already impressed. Both Parker and Claire bought Caroline gifts with their own money. They are growing up fast!

And now back to normal.....
struggling to get our 2 year old to be still so that we can put on pajamas.

And tea parties.

Meanwhile the nesting urge is in FULL FORCE. Look out!!
